NEW YORK (PNN) - August 22, 2013 - It is generally the case that once a person dies, there is only about a three-to-five minute window of potential resuscitation time before he or she becomes irreversibly dead, depending on the cause of death. But an Amerikan clinical care physician claims to have come up with a new way to revive corpses several hours after being dead, a process that with future advancements could eventually make it possible to revive the deceased up to 24 hours after death, he says.

Brave new world of biometric identification
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (PNN) - August 2, 2013 - Professor Margaret Hu’s important new article, Biometric ID Cybersurveillance (Indiana Law Journal), carefully and chillingly lays out federal and state government’s increasing use of biometrics for identification and other purposes. These efforts are poised to lead to a national biometric ID with centralized databases of our iris, face, and fingerprints. Such multimodal biometric IDs ostensibly provide greater security from fraud than our current de facto identifier, the social security number. As Professor Hu lays out, biometrics are, and soon will be, gatekeepers to the right to vote, work, fly, drive, and cross into our borders.
Hubble telescope spots Earth-like planet
A zoom from Hubble orbiting 600 km above the Earth's surface towards the star HD 189733; flying through the asterism of the "Summer Triangle" and past the famous planetary nebula M27. This illustration shows HD 189733b, a huge gas giant that orbits very close to its host star HD 189733. By observing this planet before, during, and after it disappeared behind its host star during orbit, astronomers were able to deduce that HD 189733b is a deep, azure blue - reminiscent of Earth's color as seen from space.
Do tinfoil hats work?
Mr. Fixitrick demonstrates the Faraday cage effect of a tinfoil hat by blocking the Electro-Magnetic Pulse from a typical wireless modem. A Crystal Quantum Radio made by EJ Gold is used as the pickup coil, and it is wired directly to the computer sound in. The program Audio Hijack Pro is used to interpret the audio signal in real time.
