SmartNodes will soon replace streetlights because they are equipped with cameras, microphones, speakers etc., all-in-one light pole.

Catalonia won’t renounce Independence despite looming deadline

HAMPSHIRE, England (PNN) - October 15, 2017 - A senior inventor at IBM has forecast artificially intelligent nano-machines will be injected into humans within 20 years to repair and enhance muscles, cells and bone.

John McNamara, who works at IBM Hursley Innovation Center, in Hampshire, submitted evidence to the House of Lords Artificial Intelligence Committee, which is considering the economic, ethical and social implications of AI.

Catalonia declares Independence

BARCELONA, Spain (PNN) - October 9, 2017 - Catalan President Carles Puigdemont and a majority of parliamentarians declared Catalonia's right to be a sovereign independent state.

A 92% referendum "yes" vote demanded it. For democracy to have meaning, it's essential to enforce the will of the people.

"It is not a personal decision," Puigdemont explained, adding, "(t)his is a special and historic moment having a long outreach."

Scientists claim to have proof that time travel exists

They showed that one photon can pass through a wormhole and then interact with its older self. Their findings were published in Nature Communications.

BARCELONA, Spain (PNN) - October 4, 2017 - Spanish stocks tumbled, with the IBEX index sliding into a 10% correction, following an overnight report that Catalan leader Carles Puigdemont was set to make a statement at 9:00 p.m. (1900 GMT) on Wednesday, after an all-Party committee of the region's Parliament meets to agree on a date for a plenary session on independence. That concluded moments ago and CUP, the pro-secession Party that is a majority in the Catalan Parliament, has announced it will declare independence from Spain in a plenary session on Monday.
