December 22, 2018 - Throughout the long Cold War, Stephen Cohen, professor of Russian studies at Princeton University and New York University was a voice of reason. He refused to allow his patriotism to blind him to Washington’s contribution to the conflict and to criticize only the Soviet contribution. Cohen’s interest was not to blame the enemy but to work toward a mutual understanding that would remove the threat of nuclear war. Although a Democrat and Left-leaning, Cohen would have been at home in the President Ronald Reagan regime, as Reagan’s first priority was to end the Cold War. I know this because I was part of the effort. Pat Buchanan will tell you the same thing.

December 13, 2018 - Last week, federal prosecutors in Washington and New York filed sentencing memorandums with federal judges in advance of the sentencings of Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen. President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager and his former personal lawyer had pleaded guilty to federal crimes, and the memorandums, which are required by the federal rules of criminal procedure, set forth the prosecutors’ desired prison sentences for them.

December 11, 2018 - If you want to understand the zeal with which social media platforms are now being censored, all you have to do is to look at what has been happening on our college campuses.

There is a national movement to combat “offensive speech”, and this movement has been working very hard to scrub campuses clean of words, ideas, and subjects that might cause discomfort or give offense. These days, just about anything that you might say or think is probably going to deeply offend someone.

Corporatism is bad policy, so cut all corporate subsidies

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa (PNN) - November 17, 2018 - After months of talks, South Africa is set to go ahead with proposals that will see farms seized without compensation - something critics have said will be devastating.

The country’s outlaw president, Cyril Ramaphosa, has been attempting to amend South Africa’s Constitution for months, but has been met with stiff opposition.

But now the controversial seizures will become legal after the changes were approved by a parliamentary review committee.
